YOGA WITH NAWAL

The Body as a Foundation

A Personal Journey Through Movement

Nawal's journey into yoga began with a personal need for core care, spinal rehabilitation and a deeper understanding of her own body following childbirth. What began as a path toward physical recovery developed into a lifelong relationship with movement, anatomy and the connection between body and mind.

Teaching yoga since 2009, Nawal operated her own movement studio in Saint John, New Brunswick, from 2010 to 2019 — a space dedicated to yoga, movement exploration and cultivating freedom within the body. During these years, she also toured internationally as a performing artist and yoga educator, offering specialized practices such as Yin Yoga for Dancers and movement-based workshops that complemented her artistic work.

Through thousands of hours of teaching, study and personal practice, her approach has evolved into one living Yin–Yang method, bringing together yogic foundations and Daoist philosophy. Recognizing the body's need for both activity and rest, strength and softness, her teaching encourages physical literacy, adaptability and a practice that evolves with the individual.

Today, Nawal is an E-RYT 500 yoga educator and director of her own Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200), offering private yoga instruction and a comprehensive 200-hour foundational Yoga Teacher Training.

The more familiar we become with our bodies, the greater our capacity to move through life with confidence, curiosity and freedom.

Offerings may be presented as full trainings, classes, intensives, or bespoke workshops tailored to retreats, festivals, studios, and private groups.

Yoga & Yoga Teacher Training

A Living Yin–Yang Practice

Rooted in ancient philosophy, informed by modern movement education, and responsive to the changing needs of the human body.

At Lucceferre, yoga is approached as a living practice rather than a fixed sequence of postures or a collection of separate styles. Our integrated Yin–Yang method brings yogic and Daoist philosophies into conversation, recognizing the body's essential need for both activity and rest, strength and softness, effort and surrender.

Through movement, breathwork, meditation and stillness, we explore these complementary states and their relationship to our physical, mental and emotional well-being. The intention is not to perfect a particular form, but to cultivate a familiar, capable body and a deeper understanding of our individual needs.

Informed by nearly two decades of teaching experience and extensive movement education, this approach provides the foundation for all yoga instruction at Lucceferre, from private sessions and specialized workshops to our comprehensive 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.
