Travel Through Egypt with Nawal

Welcome
to Egypt

These are not typical tours. I’m not a travel agency—I’m your Masri bestie and your cultural translator. With Egyptian family roots and five years living here, I guide you through the arts, folklore, and food that reveal the Egypt you won’t find in any guidebook.... Our next Group will set Sail April 7th.... see details below.

Want to design your dream journey through Egypt? Get in touch, We recommend a minimum 8 months for planning groups and 3 months for personal/ private excursions.

You’re invited to arrive as both a dancer and a traveler: open to unfamiliar rhythms, different ways of living, and the beauty of discovering something beyond your usual frame of reference.

The intention is to return with a richer understanding of your influences, a more thoughtful relationship with the cultures you draw from, and a deeper feeling for the movement you make your own.

Tour Philosophy & Experience

Dance carries the feeling of the places and people it comes from. Its spirit lives in the music, gestures, celebrations, and everyday encounters that give movement meaning.

This journey invites fusion dancers to connect with the feeling and spirit of the Egyptian traditions that influence their art. We’ll work with musicians rooted in the culture, exploring the relationship between rhythm, movement, and expression through direct exchange.

Two Egyptian-American guides will accompany you as language interpreters and cultural bridges, sharing perspectives shaped by life between cultures.

Nawal has spent the past five and a half years living in Egypt, with experiences extending Egypt top to bottom from Cairo’s neighborhoods, markets along the Suez Canal and village communities. Her relationship with the country is grounded in daily life, friendships, and navigating its many social worlds. She brings that experience to help you understand the nuances of what you encounter—the gestures, humor, customs, and unspoken context that can be difficult to access as a visitor.

Bevin is still exploring her Egyptian identity, bringing her own questions, discoveries, and experience of reconnecting with her heritage. Her journey opens space for others to explore what connection, belonging, and cultural roots mean to them.

Together, they offer personal perspectives shaped by living between cultures, alongside opportunities to learn directly from local artists and musicians.

Together, we’ll weave dance, music, and cultural exploration with time to listen, ask questions, move, and reflect. We’ll also leave room for the unexpected encounters that make a journey personal.

Come as a dancer and a traveler, with curiosity and a willingness to learn. The intention is to return with a deeper feeling for your dance, a richer understanding of its influences, and meaningful connections with the people who keep these traditions alive.
